Mr. Lyons is a Principal Engineer at the University of Iowa and Director of Engineering Services at IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering. Mr. Lyons’ 21-year career at IIHR has focused on applied research of hydraulic structures using both physical and numerical modeling techniques. His research areas include environmental hydraulics, river mechanics, fish passage, hydraulic structures, sediment transport, and hydraulic modeling. His extensive experience spans all levels of research activities, from model construction and design, to project management and communication.
